About PartyGaming

PartyGaming was originally founded in 1997 when the world wide web and internet gaming was still in the very early stages of development.  The company was founded by Ruth Parasol, an innovative businesswoman who has turned her online gaming fortune into a platform for charity and philanthropy throughout the world.  Today she is one of the richest women in the UK and one of the only female big shots in the online gambling world.

History of the PartyGaming Platform

As a Caribbean based online casino and bookmaker PartyGaming focused on the US market with their well known platforms PartyPoker and PartyCasino.  PartyGaming was so successful that they launched an IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2005.  Whilst the public offering greatly increased the value of the company, this was short lived as the US placed additional restrictions on online gambling with the 2006 passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).  Due to the hostile legislation in the US PartyGaming decided to pivot to Europe with the acquisition of Gamebookers and all of their European clientele. In 2011 the Austrian based online casino and bookmaker Bwin merged with PartyGaming to form a mammoth online gaming operator now called Bwin.Party Digial Entertainment.  The company is currently traded on the London Stock Exchange and operates gaming websites under the Bwin and PartyGaming brand names and provides games to third party operators via their poker network and software development business.

Types of Games at PartyGaming

PartyGaming has stayed at the forefront of online gambling by offering new and exciting forms of betting to the public.  The core business of poker, casino gaming, and sports betting is enhanced by additional offerings.  For example the sports betting interface features live streaming video for thousands of events monthly and live in-play betting markets.  PartyGaming also hosts its own live dealer studio for the games of blackjack, baccarat, and roulette.  Because they develop all of their casino games in-house they have more leeway to offer innovative products like interactive video slots based on today’s hottest movies, as well as scratch cards and arcade style games.  The newest area for PartyGaming is financial market spread betting where players can bet on stocks and currency rates going up or down.

PartyGaming Markets and Gaming Licenses

Today PartyGaming operates in the UK, EU, and over 100 countries with an online gaming license from the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.  All of the games developed by PartyGaming are independently audited by leading industry groups like eCogra, EGBA (European Gaming & Betting Association), and European Gaming & Betting Association (EGBA).

The Future of PartyGaming

Because they are such a large company, PartyGaming uses economies of scale to offer superior odds and bonus offers to their customer base.  As the rest of the online gaming industry consolidates, PartyGaming is one step ahead – having completed its merger with Bwin back in 2011. All of this and more means the future of PartyGaming as a platform look bright.
